Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with Ten Fast Feet. Can't find your answer? Just ask us.

Working with Us

How do I get started with Ten Fast Feet?

Simply get in touch via our contact page. Tell us a bit about your project — what you're trying to achieve, your timeline, and your budget. We'll get back to you within one business day and, if it's a good fit, arrange a free discovery call to go through everything in more detail.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope. A straightforward brochure website typically takes 4–6 weeks. A full eCommerce store usually takes 8–12 weeks. More complex builds with custom functionality or large product catalogues can take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline upfront before any work begins.

Do you work with small businesses as well as larger companies?

Yes — our client base ranges from small local businesses and startups to established national brands. We'll always recommend a solution that matches your budget and goals, not just the largest project we can sell.

Will I be able to update my website myself?

Absolutely. All of our websites are built on CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, or similar) that let you update content, add products, publish blog posts, and make changes without any coding knowledge. We include a handover walkthrough with every project.

Websites & Development

How much does a website cost?

Website costs vary significantly based on scope, features, and complexity. A simple informational website might start from £2,000, while a full eCommerce store with custom functionality can range from £5,000 to £20,000+. We'll always provide a detailed quote after understanding your requirements.

Which platform do you recommend — WordPress, Shopify, or something else?

It depends on your business. For eCommerce, we're Shopify Experts and typically recommend it for its scalability and ease of use — though WooCommerce and Magento are better fits in some cases. For content-led websites and blogs, WordPress is usually our first choice. We'll recommend the right platform for your needs, not just the one we prefer.

Can you redesign an existing website rather than build from scratch?

Yes. We can redesign an existing site while keeping your content, retaining your SEO authority, and preserving any existing integrations. We'll audit your current site first to understand what's working and what needs to change.

Do you build mobile-friendly websites?

Every website we build is fully responsive — meaning it adapts to look and work perfectly on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops. Mobile-first design is a core part of our process, not an afterthought.

SEO & Digital Marketing

How long does SEO take to show results?

SEO is a medium to long-term investment. You can expect to start seeing measurable improvements in rankings and traffic within 3–6 months for less competitive terms, and 6–12 months for more competitive keywords. The good news: unlike paid ads, the results compound and continue to grow over time.

What's included in an SEO audit?

Our comprehensive SEO audits cover 100+ ranking factors including technical issues (crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals), on-page SEO (titles, headings, content quality), backlink profile analysis, keyword gap analysis, and competitor benchmarking. You'll receive a prioritised action plan.

Do you run Google Ads (PPC) campaigns?

Yes. Our PPC team manages Google Ads and Shopping campaigns across a range of industries. We focus on driving down cost-per-acquisition while maximising return on ad spend — our clients average a 65% reduction in wasted ad spend after switching to us.

Can you help with social media marketing?

Yes — we offer social media content creation, paid social advertising (Meta, Instagram, TikTok), and strategy. Our Social Media Kit package is a great starting point if you need branded content for your channels.

Maintenance & Support

What's included in a maintenance plan?

Our maintenance plans cover monthly platform and plugin updates, security monitoring and hardening, weekly automated backups, uptime monitoring, and email support. Higher-tier plans include performance optimisation, monthly SEO reports, and dedicated development hours.

Do I need a maintenance plan after launch?

We strongly recommend it. Websites require regular updates to stay secure — outdated plugins are one of the most common causes of site hacks and downtime. A maintenance plan gives you peace of mind and keeps your site performing at its best.

What if something breaks on my website outside office hours?

Our Pro maintenance plan clients benefit from a same-day response SLA and out-of-hours emergency support. If your site goes down, we'll know before you do via our uptime monitoring and will act immediately.
